It’s snowing! It’s snowing! The first flakes of the year It’s snowing! It’s snowing! Soon winter will be here It’s snowing! It’s snowing! It’s covering the ground I hope it snows and snows all night so school will be closed down So light the lights and sing the songs The holiday season is here The air is cold but our hearts are warm This wonderful time of the year The cookies are baking, the air is smelling sweet The first batch is cooling, soon there’ll be some to eat The chimneys are breathing their smoke into the sky As flakes fall down and pile up our hopes begin to rise So light the lights and sing the songs The holiday season is here The air is cold but our hearts are warm This wonderful time of the year It’s snowing! It’s snowing! The first flakes of the year It’s snowing! It’s snowing! Soon winter will be here It’s snowing! It’s snowing! It’s covering the ground I hope it snows and snows all night so school will be closed down

One by One 03:42
Thank you for the sun that shines Thank you for the stars above Thank you for the rain that falls And thank you for your love One by one we count our blessings As we come to share this bread Let us gather round the table May our hearts always be thankful For each gift that we receive One by one we count our blessings With our friends and family Thank you for the air we breathe Thank you for the food we eat Thank you for our families And thank you for your love

Thanksgiving Day has come and gone And Christmas is drawing near So we dress real warm and we pile in the van Just like we do each year We’re going to Sam’s, the Tree Man He lives down a long and a winding road We’re going to cut one down, tie it on the roof Turn around and go back home Yeah, we’re going to get our Xmas tree It’s a family tradition Thousands of trees to choose from So we inspect each ones condition Everyone wants to be the one To find that tree that’s chosen But if we wait until we all agree Our limbs will end up frozen O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree Calm and gentle evergreen A symbol of good will and love But you make us mad and we act real mean We argue and we disagree Everyone wants a different tree How we going to solve this peacefully? Hot chocolate and diplomacy How about this one? It’s really great Are you kiddin? That’s way too tall There’s one over here It’s round and it’s full That’s a beauty but it’s kind of small I found it! This is the perfect tree It might be if the branches weren’t brown Hey, look over here, this tree is the one No way! That tree is falling down Chorus When we get it home and into the stand It really doesn’t look so great There’s a space over here, it’s leaning over there Maybe we made a mistake Then we begin to put the ornaments on Add the candles and the lights Put the angel on top, And the gifts underneath And our tree is marvelous sight Some people like their tree to be just so The perfect shape and size Each branch, straight, each needle the same And the ornaments -- synchronized The lights must be spaced symmetrically And at the top – a crystal star I’m amazed by trees that look like that But I’d rather have a tree like ours Chorus

It’s the Christmas play It’s the Christmas play Hope I don’t forget What I’m supposed to say Here we are at last - - Standing on the stage Singing in the Christmas play Yesterday at practice Things didn’t go that great Shepherds were fighting with the sheep And the wise men came in late And angels wings got broken Someone stepped on Joseph’s toes And the kid who sings “Good will to men” Went home with a bloody nose Teacher says “It’s a miracle!” She cried and then she laughed Our one hour dress rehearsal Took two hours and a half The microphone works - - sometimes The piano’s not in tune Rumor is first grade's got lice And the fourth grade's got the flu The kindergartners will be cute If they don’t trip on the stairs As tangled antlers twist and turn In restless reindeers hair Santa called to say he’s late He’s stuck in a traffic jam But we’re glad you’re here, it’s another year Singing in the Christmas play

Dear Santa 04:07
Something’s been on my mind I’m wondering how do you do it? Where do you find the time? How do you visit every kid In this great, big, wide old world I’m wondering how do you do it? Signed, your good friend, Earl Dear Earl, Thank you for writing Those are questions I’m often asked And although I look old and rather round I’m actually sort of fast But it takes more than speed To make it from Juneau to Japan I can do it because you love me And because you believe I can Dear Santa I’m writing a letter There’s something I’d like to know Where do you live? Where do you work? Is there really a North Pole? How do you make all those toys And dolls and games and clothes? I’m wondering how do you do it? Signed, yours truly, Rose Dear Rose, I’m glad that you wrote to me Now I’m writing back to you I live and I work all over the world From the North Pole to Spain to Peru I have lots of help making the gifts But you’re also a part of the plan I can do it because you love me And because you believe I can Dear Santa I’m writing a letter There’s something I’d like to ask I know you work hard all year long Do you ever find time to relax? Make sure you take a vacation Play baseball or go for a swim And remember to take good care of yourself Signed, your best friend, Slim Dear Slim, I enjoyed your letter It was real nice of you to ask I do work hard but I play some too If you don’t time goes too fast! Next summer when you’re on vacation If you see a fat bearded man with a tan Remember that anything’s possible If you love and believe that you can

There’s a little bit of Scrooge in everyone A touch of Ebenezer underneath that grin There’s a little bit of Scrooge in everyone So open up the door and let him in Christmas is a happy time, a time for reverie A time for celebrating with friends and family A time for giving gifts, for sharing love and joy But it also is a time for getting grumpy and annoyed The days are short, the lines are long, I dont know what to get I was gonna shop early, I havent started yet The dinner party might be fun but I don’t want to go A white Christmas would be great without the snow (chorus) Lights and decorations appearing everywhere As songs of the season float through the air Boxes from the attic, memories of the past But it’s hard to enjoy it when you’re going so fast. We buy too much, we want too much, we eat too much too We throw stuff away just because it isn’t new We only want the latest, the biggest, and the best It’s no wonder that so many are lonely and depressed. (chorus) The ghost of Christmas past, recalls the deeds weve done I should’ves and I would’ves that cannot be undone Christmas yet to come Well it’s just a crystal ball It’s the present that’s our present it’s greatest gift of all So when youre feeling grouchy, when you’re feeling down Remember Ebenezer and the fortune that he found He bought that that prize turkey, and then gave it away He learned that life’s treasures are all within today. (chorus)

In a small village way up in the mountains The snow falls so silent and white Children are drifting on ships made of dreams Their whole world is magic tonight Down in the city the bustling continues As last minute work’s being done Just one more present or one final call To reach out to one more loved one Christmas is coming, yes Christmas is coming It’s bringing us hope, turning darkness to light Christmas is coming all over the world Christmas is coming tonight In a large house that sits high on a hill A fireplace burns warm and bright Laughing and singing, exchanging fine gifts Their spirits are joyful and light In a third floor apartment a family of eight Hold each other to keep themselves warm They say a prayer thanking God for His gifts And ask Him to help them be strong In a home for the elders who don’t have a home An old man hums old Christmas tunes He smiles and remembers when he was a boy Reindeer flew right across the moon Just down the road in a hospital bed A child hears his mother’s first song She sings “Silent Night” and they feel the same light That was felt on that first Christmas morn

Gotta get going, gotta keep moving I’ve got miles to go before I sleep Gotta get going, gotta keep moving I’ve got places to go and promises to keep All year long we’re waiting For this special night to come We’re working and we’re planning There’s so much that must be done Making gifts, checking lists of addresses and names We load the sleigh – - We’re on our way It’s Christmas Eve again!! Each year things get hectic as the seasons roll around Days fly by like shooting stars Leaves fall to the ground Weeks just seem to disappear like snowmen in the sun Until that bright and magic night When time stands still again! Thanks for the milk and cookies They really tasted great I’d like to stay and visit but the hour is getting late Sometimes I’m like a candle Burning at both ends Then I look at you and it pulls me through I’m like a kid again

When you wake up Christmas morning Filled with love and hopes so high Remember what we celebrate Is the birth day of a child A baby born to parents Who were far away from home They were hungry, they were tired They were scared and all alone And then a light came shining And all their cares were gone For like every child that’s ever born He made their hearts a home Two thousand years have passed Since that first wondrous Christmas morn When the world was changed forevermore Cause a baby child was born And still that light keeps shining It has blessed us all today So like a child let’s live in peace And follow in His way

Moments of stillness Moments of Peace Call us to remember The star in the east Shining so brightly All through the night Calming our fears In this season of light Watching in wonder Giving in Hope Waiting for the child To welcome us home Rest for the weary All through the night Joy in our hearts It’s the season of light
